The mission of Musicians For Human Rights is to foster a culture of humanism through music in the United States and worldwide, in support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
We strive to fulfill our mission through the following activities:
— fostering cooperation between persons and entities in the creative community in the United States and throughout the world;
— producing musical performances and recordings;
— supporting creation and distribution of educational materials for use in schools, by cultural institutions, and by the general public;
— supporting training of musicians, teachers, and others in human rights education and activities;
— organizing or participating in conferences, seminars, forums, and workshops to raise public awareness of human rights issues;
— commissioning new musical compositions inspired by human rights principles;
— donating funds to charitable organizations sharing similar values.
